THIS CONTENT HAS NOW EXPIRED
National HIV Testing Week is a campaign promoting regular testing in England, particularly among groups most affected by HIV. Regular testing helps to reduce the numbers of undiagnosed people and those diagnosed late, as well as raise awareness and increase knowledge of HIV to reduce stigma. The diagnosed HIV prevalence per 1000 population aged 15 to 59 in 2022 varies between districts within Hertfordshire. It is highest in Stevenage (2.97), Watford (2.30), Welwyn Hatfield (2.23) and Hertsmere (2.06), where it is greater than 2 per 1000 residents.
This year, the campaign strapline is ‘I Test.’, followed by a line that explores people’s different reasons for testing. All National HIV Testing Week materials, can be ordered for free from the resource portal and ocial media assets are available from the NHTW Social Media Pack 2024 but requires Trello in order to download them. Please note the pack will be updated regularly when further social media posts are available. This will make it easier for you to get involved in National HIV Testing Week (NHTW) and promote local activities and events, as well as the opportunity to order a free postal test.
