Stoptober 2024

Hertfordshire Health Improvement Service (HHIS) will be supporting partners with the promotion of Stoptober. In May this year, HHIS updated their promotional materials to have a localised approach: https://www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/services/health-in-herts/smoking/stop-smoking-service.aspx. These resources have been well received to date and are continuing to be distributed. Please utilise these resources further during Stoptober alongside the national campaign message.

National Stoptober campaign resources are now available to download from the Campaign Resource Centre. These can be used alongside localised resources throughout September and October to help raise awareness of the campaign and encourage smokers to plan their quit attempt. Like the localised resources, these also include:

• Campaign toolkit containing key messages, stats and facts, overview of assets, suggested social media posts and ideas for evaluation
• Digital posters
• Social media assets (static and animated)
• Graphics for digital screens
• Email signatures
