Pharmacy Quality Scheme (PQS) 2025/26
The Pharmacy Quality Scheme (PQS) 2025/26 is a key component of the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF), designed to support community pharmacies in delivering high-quality care and services to patients. With a funding allocation of £30 million, the scheme commenced on 1st April 2025 and focuses on enhancing medicines optimisation and patient safety.
Initial details of the Pharmacy Quality Scheme (PQS) 2025/26 were released on 31st March 2025, as part of the arrangements for the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF) in 2024/25 and 2025/26 and as a Drug Tariff Update.

Pharmacy owners are encouraged to review the scheme’s requirements and determine which domains they intend to meet. The Aspiration Payment allows pharmacy owners to claim a payment in advance, based on the domains they plan to achieve. Final payments will be reconciled based on the actual domains met, with evidence required by the end of March 2026.
