HWE Foundation Pharmacist Training: Multi-sector placement opprtunities 2025/26

Lead employers: Are you still looking for multi-sector placements/Designated Prescribing Practitioners (DPPs) for your trainees? You ideally need to have DPP supervision plans in place by November/December 2024.

• Promoting multi-sector partnerships for Foundation Pharmacist Training 2025/26.
• Suggestions for joint prescribing assessment opportunities between sectors.
• How PCNs can utilise Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS) funding for new pharmacy roles to support Foundation Pharmacist Trainees.
• DPP training options to support Independent Prescribers to develop skills and confidence to become a DPP.
• You’ll hear from community pharmacy and general practice colleagues who have delivered multi-sector placements on the benefits, challenges and practicalities of the partnership.
• Insights from a general practice on why they have chosen to be a lead employer for trainees.
