Central East ICB Board Vacancy
Deadline: Monday 1 June 2026
On Monday 11 May 2026, a call for nominations was sent out to fill the Primary Medical Services (PMS) Partner Member vacancy on the Central East Integrated Care Board (ICB).
While the board already has two GP members, they are explicitly seeking a third member who can bring a pharmacy, dental, or ophthalmic perspective to ensure wider primary care representation. Based on the current composition of the Board, the ICB would especially welcome nominations from Hertfordshire, though applications are open to eligible individuals from across the entire Central East region (including Bedfordshire, Luton, Milton Keynes, Cambridgeshire, and Peterborough).
Summary of the Role & Requirements:
- The Role: Join a unitary board to help shape strategic decision-making, tackle local health inequalities, and ensure community pharmacy insights are heard at the highest level.
- Time Commitment: A minimum of 2 to 3 days per month (formal meetings are typically held on Fridays during working hours).
- Remuneration: £285 per 4-hour session to cover loss of earnings.
- Initial Term: From appointment until 31 March 2027.
- Application Deadline: Monday 1 June 2026 at 5:00 PM.
How to Apply: Because this position requires backing from the local primary care network, candidates must be nominated by one eligible local GP practice (PMS contractor) and seconded by another within the Central East ICB boundary. The complete bundle requires a Nomination Form, a 500-word supporting statement, a Declaration of Interests form, and a Fit & Proper Person self-attestation. Full documents were attached to the email sent out on Monday 11 May 2026 titled “PHA1191 – Action required: Letter and correspondence to go out to Central East Dental Optoms & Phamacists – RE: PMS Partner Member”.
