We’re hiring: Community Pharmacy Public Health Integration Officer

Community Pharmacy Hertfordshire is recruiting a Community Pharmacy Public Health Integration Officer to support the development of community pharmacy’s role in improving public health across Hertfordshire.

This new role will work closely with Hertfordshire Public Health, community pharmacies and wider health and care partners to strengthen the delivery of prevention and health improvement services across the county.

The postholder will support pharmacies to identify opportunities for service development, improve access to public health initiatives, and help embed community pharmacy as an important partner in addressing local health priorities and reducing health inequalities.

The role will include:

• Supporting the delivery of Hertfordshire’s public health priorities through community pharmacy.
• Building relationships with pharmacy teams, public health colleagues, NHS organisations and community partners.
• Supporting the development, delivery and evaluation of public health projects and initiatives.
• Leading the development of a Hertfordshire Healthy Pharmacy Framework.
• Using insight, data and feedback to identify opportunities to improve services.
• Supporting pharmacies through engagement, training and sharing best practice.

We are looking for someone with experience in community pharmacy, public health, the NHS, local government or a related health and care environment. The successful candidate will have strong partnership-working skills, experience of service development or programme delivery, and an understanding of prevention and population health approaches.

Community pharmacy experience is highly desirable, although we welcome applications from candidates with wider public health or healthcare experience who can demonstrate the skills needed for the role.

The role offers:

• Salary of up to £39,869 per annum, depending on experience and agreed working hours.
• Flexible working options, including full-time (37.5 hours per week) or part-time (32 hours over four days).
• Hybrid working, combining home working, office collaboration and travel across Hertfordshire.
• The opportunity to contribute to the development of community pharmacy public health services across the county.
