Local guidance on Fraser Guidelines and safeguarding provided by the Public Health Hertfordshire Team can be found in the following appendices: Sexual Health Offences Act 2003 Whenever a member of the pharmacy team has a discussion with a young person under the age of 16, they should sensitively explore the following key details during each consultation. These discussions must be thoroughly documented and include an assessment of the young person’s maturity and their ability to make decisions voluntarily especially during services for example, the supply of emergency contraception under a Patient Group Direction (PGD). The NSPCC website outlines what the guidelines are and how they should be used along with resources to refer to.
