Suicide Prevention
Hertfordshire County Council has a suicide prevention network involving more than 20 organisations.
Their vision is to make Hertfordshire a county where no one ever gets to the point where they feel suicide is there only option.

The Mental Health & Suicide Prevention team have put together a new Mental Health Support & Advice Booklet which includes information about mental health and some of the resources and services.

Togetherall is a peer-to-peer, clinician-moderated online community, which is free for Hertfordshire residents. It’s available 24/7, and offers a space to talk to others and access wellbeing support. You can sign up here: Hertfordshire | Togetherall
The Mental Health and Suicide Prevent team are pleased to announce the launch of the GRID (Grassroots Inclusion Development) Project. The aim of this project is to improve mental health for the high risk groups that are often the most marginalised and have the most health needs and inequalities. The five groups we are funding are:
- The Nest: Free to attend, weekly talking therapy circles for men and women in nature-based, non-clinical settings and a community led allotment and green space.
- Child of CIC: Tackling social issues through the power of art and supporting those touched by addiction and domestic violence through workshops and mentorship.
- Baby Cabaret: support and confidence/ skill building for new mothers, including a space in which children can be cared for while their parent/s take part in activities, to reduce isolation
- Impactful Lives: practical and emotional support, mentorship, and community events for the LGBTQ+ community, including disability support for LGBTQ+ people and their families.
- Sowing Seeds: a community centre holding different courses and sessions including supporting veterans, young people with drug/alcohol addiction and those who have experienced domestic abuse
