Painkillers don’t exist – Opioid awareness campaign

Hertfordshire and West Essex ICB is asking for support to deliver a campaign across the health and care system to improve patient safety and raise awareness of pain medication dependency.

The “Pain Killers Don’t Exist” campaign aims to initiate conversations about opioid addiction and challenge the misconception that medication alone can alleviate all pain. By promoting awareness and sharing details of local pain and support services, the campaign seeks to empower individuals to take control of their pain management journey and improve their overall wellbeing.

The campaign will be supported with a digital campaign on Facebook managed by the ICB to help reach more of the local population. More details can be found in the attached stakeholder toolkit. Posters are also being sent to every pharmacy.
