RPS and CPPE – Peer discussion support, supporting patients with mental health

4th June 2019 6.30pm - 9pm

Leagrave centre, Luton

The aim of this joint CPPE RPS workshop is to demonstrate how you can apply your knowledge and skills to support people with mental health conditions from prior learning undertaken and how this can be used to form part of your revalidation journey*. You will have the opportunity to

  • discuss with colleagues how your knowledge of mental health conditions has supported a service user you have encountered
  • discuss with colleagues how your learning can be used to complete one CPD entry
  • help identify a peer and undertake a ‘mini’ peer discussion, highlighting how you can use your learning in your CPD and revalidation.

*If you have not undertaken any specific learning in the area of mental health you can still attend this event – just bring along examples of any recent learning you have undertaken and how it has changed your practice and supported your service users. This  event is about supporting each other through the revalidation process, sharing ideas about how you put your learning in to practice, understanding how to record CPD and to start having those peer discussions.  This event was recently run in Harrow with other 50 attendees and was very well received. Attendees liked the opportunity to ask questions and have a go at conducting a mini peer review.
