Childhood Flu and Adult Flu & COVID Key Dates and Reminders

Although you might receive the stock for both the childhood flu vaccination and the flu & COVID vaccination programmes before Wednesday 1 October 2025, no vaccinations should be administered until the programmes officially begin on this date
A trained vaccinator will be required to administer vaccinations for both adults and children at all times (including weekends)

Stock will need to be ordered manually via the FDP system
Ordering can begin on Thursday 4 September 2025
To guarantee delivery of stock for Wednesday 1 October 2025 orders must be placed by Friday 12 September 2025
Stock will need to continue to be ordered manually via the FDP system throughout the programme

Stock will be automatically ordered based on your appointment bookings in the MYA system
To guarantee delivery of stock for Wednesday 1 October 2025 you will need to have the bulk of your appointments booked by Friday 12 September 2025
A second order run will be done for any appointments booked between Friday 12 September 2025 and Thursday 18 September 2025
Stock will be automatically ordered based on your bookings for the duration of the programme

Immunosuppressed children and children who are in contact with immunosuppressed individuals are covered in the green book in chapter 14
Children in this cohort are required to have two vaccinations with a four week period in between
Both appointments should be made at the same time to ensure stock availability
